Support Local Businesses During COVID-19 Virus Health Issue

March 10, 2020

Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce, Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce, Thousand Palms Chamber of Commerce and Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce are united in the effort to support valley businesses and jobs.

Area business leaders stand with local businesses and health professionals to send a message of prudence and preparedness and we are proud to say that Coachella Valley is open for business!

We urge valley employers to continue to take all necessary safety precautions and set the standard in maintaining safe environments for shoppers and diners as they go about their day to day business. The chambers of commerce share the goals of health and wellness with the community as a whole while also remaining an event destination at the height of our season.

We are telling our members and area businesses to continue to be prepared by training employees to use best practices. We urge them to run their businesses as usual and remain calm and careful. Creating healthy environments is key for consumer confidence.

Our Coachella Valley hotel rooms are clean, restaurants are ready to serve, employees are prepped and ready for high season; grocery stores are restocking shelves.

It is important to the economy and local jobs that the ANA Inspiration and the Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals take place. Trade shows and conference meetings must continue while maintaining healthy business establishments.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has issued no warning or restrictions on travel anywhere in the U.S. and the health risk to the general public remains low according to the California Department of Public Health.
