September 28, 2018

The Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Abigail (Abby) Sturgeon as our new Director of Marketing & Communications. Abby is Canadian-made, Coachella Valley raised and is a walking billboard for The Desert. Abby comes to us from Renova Energy where she previously served as their Marketing Manager. Abby sits on local boards such as Leadership Coachella Valley and the Coachella Valley Horse Rescue. Abby looks forward to assisting with the mission of the Palm Desert Area Chamber to continuously build a strong business community.

“Growing up, I saw how much the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce helped my dad grow his small business. To this day, he still feels as though being a part of the chamber network shaped his business for success. I am honored to join the hard-working team at the PDACC and give other members the same benefit that my dad and so many other companies have received over the years. I am hoping to bring a fresh, new focus on communicating as effectively as possible with our member businesses,” stated Abby Sturgeon, Director of Marketing & Communications for the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Abby to our already amazing Palm Desert Area Chamber Team. Abby understands this business community very well. Abby will be a tremendous asset to our staff and member businesses. Abby has a great personality, is open to new ideas and is exactly what this Chamber needs. This was a tough decision as we had over 150 applicants for one position. At the end of the day, Abby rose to the occasion and we could not be happier with our selection,” said Todd Rhoden, Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce President & Chief Executive Officer.

Abby’s first day at the PDACC was on September 24th. Please help us in welcoming Abby to the 5 Star U.S. Chamber Accredited, Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce. To welcome Abby, please contact 760-346-6111 or email marketing@pdacc.org.
