Palm Desert Area Chamber Wins Cal Chamber President’s Circle Award

(Palm Desert, CA) The California Chamber of Commerce recently recognized nineteen chambers of commerce to receive the 2019 President’s Circle Award. President’s Circle Award recipients published vote records of their state legislators on key business issues, generated letters to state elected officials on issues of interest to members and participated in the Cal Chamber compliance product resale program at an exemplary level.

The award, first presented in 2009, acknowledges chambers for excellence in business advocacy and helping their members comply with California employment laws. Representatives of the President’s Circle Chambers were honored on May 22, 2019 during the Cal Chamber Capitol Summit in Sacramento. Only six chambers have received the award all 11 years it has been presented. The Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce is one of those six and the only chamber representing the Coachella Valley over this period.

“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award on behalf of the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce. This achievement would not be possible without all the hard working members of our Legislative Action Committee and thriving business community. A special thank you to Patrick Klein, Patrick Somers and James Brownyard for accompanying me in Sacramento to meet with our elected legislative officials,” said Todd Rhoden, President & CEO of the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce.
